At Durham's Hope For Kids, our mission is to empower middle and high school youth by providing equal access to resources that foster social-emotional learning, leadership development, and enrichment opportunities. We are committed to dismantling financial barriers that impede their growth, ensuring that every young person has the support they need to realize their full potential and thrive in life.

Our Why
Too many youth in Durham face barriers that limit access to opportunity, confidence, and support. Economic hardship and gaps in social-emotional learning contribute to lower academic outcomes and increased behavioral and emotional challenges. Durham’s Hope for Kids was created to close these gaps by providing accessible leadership, mentorship, and SEL-centered opportunities that help young people grow, find their voice, and thrive.
